  1. Hmmm, very similar in design and patent to Jowett institute silent dumbbells of June 12 , 1928. Wonder what was different enough to get patent in 1935. I recently bought a set of Jowetts and their curved, dished plate design and thumbscrew plate hold to a cast finger grooved hand grip type handle was quite unique……. I thought. R Sorin
